School Site Council

The School Site Council (SSC) of Benton is comprised of 12 members including 3 parents/community members, 4 teachers, 1 non-teaching staff member, 3 students, and the school principal. All members are elected to serve two-year terms and may serve consecutive terms.

 

All parents, faculty, staff, and community members are welcome to attend the monthly meetings of the Benton SSC. Meetings are typically scheduled from 3:30-4:30pm on the second Thursday of each month (except for holidays) in our Conference Room. Check back each month for our monthly agenda postings, as well as the minutes of our meetings.

 

The SSC provides input on the following:

  • Single Plan for Student Achievement
  • Site Budget
  • Personnel recommendation panels for hiring
  • Professional Development
  • Curriculum, Instruction, and Intervention
  • Student Attendance and Discipline
  • Scheduling and Calendar
